I believe that life is lived in relationship. My focus in psychotherapy, as well as in my own life, is based on this belief. I also believe that the connection between the body, mind and emotions is an integral and necessary ingredient for living a satisfying and healthy life. The struggle to maintain the balance between one’s Self and the Other in relationship can at times cause conflict and pain that can actually motivate us to learn how to use the conflict as a vehicle for personal growth and expansion of our own Loving Capacity.

As a Certified Imago Therapist, I coach couples as well as those who are single to use the needs of others to help them grow in their own personal life. The healing journey begins by eliminating negativity. The next step is to learn to stop reacting and begin responding to others. This evolves into the ability to dialogue your way into a closer, more satisfying and increasingly more loving relationship and life. When we become dissatisfied with life in some way, it is important to set negative feelings aside and take ownership of what is not working. The hardest thing to do can be sitting with feelings of inadequacies. By being honest with yourself, you make room for your own growth. Know that Love is a decision. We can choose to give it and we can choose to take it away. So, why not choose Love today? That Love includes love for others, for ourselves, and for Life!

Having said this, the work involved in choosing Love is often uncomfortable and involves some struggles and some practical changes, but most importantly, it requires courage. It takes courage to face ourselves and discern the possibilities for positive change. I see my role as that of a witness and a guide in the process that others are experiencing. I believe that healing happens through the relationship that I provide in the healing process. Through the safety of the relationship, the validation and normalization of emotional expression, and the recognition of relational patterns, growth occurs and is lived out day by day.
